The B-Town Beat is a nonprofit group that was founded in early 2013 by a group of Burien residents and business owners who believe that music and art are valuable assets that can used to build a thriving community and strong local economy. The group launched two programs in 2013, the B-Town Music & Art Walk and the Art Alley project.
The B-Town Beat Music & Art Walk is an event that takes place on the first Friday every month through the year. Local businesses and venues in downtown Burien host music or art and sometimes both! Participants are encouraged to visit all 20-30 venues participating during the event.
The benefits of a vibrant arts community are directly linked to increased jobs, economic growth and high quality of life that will position Burien to flourish with a thriving community and strong local economy.
